Would the tag not be the last thing to be added to a completed dagger ? Great looking piece.

Interesting that the leather hanger is also brown. As we view this set today, it appears that it was created for NSKK use...no? A beautiful artifact!

I need to rephrase my last note! Interesting that the leather hanger is also black. As we view this set today, it appears that it was created for NSKK use...no? The tag states that this "SA Service Dagger was created according to regulations," so that may mean that it was produced to be just as it is -- as Bulldog observed. A beautiful artifact.

              Beautiful transitional Zeitler. I’m jealous.

Spectacular beauty. Best I have ever seen so don't let the following comment take anything away from that.

                It is not "mint".

I am pretty sure they didn't come from the factory with oxidation darkening on the blade and crossguard.

Sorry, pet peeve of mine how people misuse the word "mint".

Mint would be 100 percent exactly as it left the factory.

Beyond that, would be proud to own. It is un-issued, it is in a high 98% condition and it looks great.

Well that's OK, but I been around for a while and to me THAT is a Mint conditioned dagger.
