I don't know how others may feel, but before I could comment, I would need a image of the tang nut, close up of Hilt, and one of crossguard. Also something doing on with the scabbard screws.

I still don't know what to say about the subject dagger. I like the second one better.
However, there are very good fakes currently of this dagger model being produced, A diplomatic version. Here is one example of a repro - IMO. ( I will not disclose what I see that gives it away.)

One problem I see in note #9, Serge -- and this is probably NOT why you believe this to be a repro -- is that the dagger is attached to the hanger in reverse!

The first dagger looks OK to me except note the scabbard screws at the throat.

It scares to invest so much money in a diplomatic dagger ... the example of Serge is very convincing and I would not be able to distinguish a false of an original with such quality in the replica ones of new creation ..... I think that I will stop to look for daggers until Not having 100% absolute certainty of buying in a trustworthy store that gives me all the guarantees ... for now, I will try to sell material to have enough money.
