Reichsbahn sword

I recently came across a WKC model 1059 with green eyes and DR markings under the hilt. Flying wheel and D.R. marked with accountability number.
This is the first one I have seen, how rare are these swords? My research lends me to value this sword at $1000-1200, in excellent + condition.
Seller is asking $2800! Am I way off or is he?

I'm with you on price PD, having collected TR & Imperial swords for over 40 years, I think $2800. is way of base in 2017. With out a doubt a rare sword, but sword prices have dropped dramatically in the last ten years. Saw an EICKHORN LUTZOW last week for $1100. in decent shape, didn't sell, at that price. Just IMO.
