SA Ehrendolch für Führer der SA-Standarte

    Hi Guys,

Can someone tell me what is so special about this dagger?

I know absolutely nothing about daggers but for e95000 I'm guessing it's special!!

    Thanks,

    Allan

Feldherrnhalle daggers are numbered and I think the highest recorded number is 51 so they are rare. I would assume there are more fakes than real ones.

This type of dagger was introduced in 1937 as a dress dagger for leaders of the Standarte Feldherrnhalle, an elite formation of the SA.

Ithink Eickhorn were the only authorised manufacturer of these daggers and not very many were made.

Do you guys think that's the real deal for sale?? With so few real ones I'm guessing these don't show up for sale very often, and is there more real ones with the wooden handles, or the bakelite?

FHH #51 currently offered by the Helmut Weitze firm is a known original. Was in the Bob McCarthy collection at least 40 years back. I also remember it being offered by Tom Wittmann on one of his printed sales lists, maybe 20 years back.
