    M1884/98 Bayonet (?)

    Hello folks,
    I turn to you since i have very little knowledge regarding bayonets.
    Is this a M1884/98 bayonet? It´s marked "Simson & Co SUHL". No marking on the other side of the blade, or on the scabbard.
    Is it for German use, or maybe an export product? Wartime made?

    Many thanks,
    // Erik

    On first these bayonet looks like Portugal M1904 long model. But marking on rifle barrel ring confuses me - looks similar to Yugoslavian M48 bayonet markings. Bayonet frog also look like M48 type.

        You are correct, Portugal M1904 is the one! Thank you very much!

        AndyB: Thank you for the extra info!
        What do you mean with M1904/39 rework? Was it changed in 1939?

        Regards,
        Erik
