Thanks, Victorbaule; I see your point -- the grip does not appear to be finished to accommodate both the upper and the lower crossguards, which overhang the crossguard fittings. This is a late-model SS dagger and pieces like this one were not subjected to the same rigorous demands as were the original pieces and even the double-marked pieces. That is just my opinion, and others here may disagree.

We see from time to time less quality on RZM daggers then on early makermarked ones.
Less good quality in materials, details and fittings.
For that reason they are less collectible and desirable altough
original. And offcourse they have their place in history as well.
