    Luft Presentation Sword for Opinions

Gents, I looked at this sword today but edged weapons are not my speciality. It appears to be a presentation sword with serious scrolling on either side. Made by WKC. So, I would appreciate opinions. Thanks Rich

            Reproductions

Rich, this sword and the SS Daggers you have been posting in the for sale section of edged weapons are all reproductions.

This is a 1970s to 1980s attempt at a luft presentation sword. It is pretty, but has a completely wrong handle and guard from originals.

Actually , this sword was listed in the 1939 WKC catalog and was offered for sale, but for all we know it was not sold because Hermann Goering preferred the Eickhorn 2nd model Luftwaffe Generals sword. Tom Wittmann incorrectly stated that this (WKC) blade showed the wrong title of Hermann Goering, but in 1939 his title was 'Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe'. WKC sold them in the 1960s as 'Museumsanfertigung' or 'Sammleranfertigung' for collectors.
