Strange combination IMO. Blade is produced by Friedrich Dick Solingen. Dagger crossguard is Holler 3. type. (pommel looks ok. for Holler 3. type) Scabbard is generic type - with 4. type Eickhorn scabbard bands?

It is a parts piece for sure and also appears to have been heavily over cleaned IMO.

Is this a maker or distributor mark on the blade?

Yes correct F. Dick Solingen is a blade producer, I would like to see a text book example in a army as I have never seen one? beside this questionable parts piece.

                  Regards

I've never seen, or until now, heard of this blade maker. I do see a lot of grain running at the same 45 degree angle on the blade itself. Does anyone know if this is an inherent trait to this maker or is it some sort of mark from aggressive cleaning?
