    Early Pack Rohm daggers have crossguards that fit the curve of the upper scabbard fitting exactly, this one the curve is not even close (note the ends of the scabbard fitting and the center). Pack crossguards are different from others on early ones.
    Also, the finish of the scabbard is not Pack either. This hew is more like a Malsch and Ambron.
    Just my opinion.

      I did mention the fit but I thought it was due to the dagger not being fully home
      What should the finish be? Lighter darker?

        Solid nickle green patina is also different.

          That could be explained by the nickel alloys being different
          I have an m7/29 with very yellow cross guards but normal colour scabbard fittings and top nut so metal colour alone would not be a reason to say this scabbard wasn't original to the dagger
          The fit ,length of the top fitting and the colour of the browning is another thing
          Can you post photos of your pack sa's?
          I only have one ,a ground rohm, but I cannot find it !!

            Heres my EPack SA with typical Pack fittings for comparison . It happens to be a ground Rohm also .

              Note the fitting of the lower crossguard to the upper scabbard fitting curve.

                Schlange and Ron are correct here. Early epack scabbards always show unique features not just the shape of the upper scabbard fitting, but also the location of the screws (lower on packs). Also the ball, has a more 'drawn' look.

                Epack scabbard swaps are the easiest to notice.

                See Craig's example. That's what they look like.

                I would pass on this this one.
