Army Officer Parade Sword with Retailer Mark

Got this sword recently a little battered and I had to replace the grip wire, as it was long gone. Its made by Horster, the opposite side of blade is marked Fahnen-Reuter Munster. Never seen one marked like this before although I think there a some dress bayonets marked similar. Any info welcome.

It's not uncommon to find a distributer mark on the ricosso or spine. Much more common on imperial swords. Really as no impact on value.

I tend to agree with Reichsword concerning value. Having said that, swords with both maker and distributor markings are more desireable to most collectors since they are a bit out of the ordinary. Just the same as owner initials, which are not really researchable, add a bit of interest to a sword without really increasing its value.

Thanks schupo. I would normally not buy a sword unless in nice condition, but bought this as its a bit different.
