Dagger or Sword Portepee ID please!

Got this from a picker who got it at estate sale, its in overall great condition and is sixteen inches overall in lenght. Any ideas what this one belongs to?

Photos do not show it well but barrel and acorn are off white and strap is silver as is the center of the acorn.

Steve, I consulted one of my books on accouterments. By the looks of what you have, this is a German dress portapee belonging to Artillery Unit 3, Battery 9 or Infantry Regiment Battalion 3 Company 11. My apologies for not nailing it down on account its difficult to distinguish yellows from the tan colors in this book. I hope this helps a little and I hope I'm not too far off. If so, I'm sure there is someone on the forum to help you out. Me too for that matter.
