1st Luftwaffe dagger, medal, sword help

I inherited the 1st Luftwaffe dagger and have gotten some info on the blade itself, but everyone has been stumped by the medal. It's crude, possibly homemade. A quick google search turns "ehren preis" roughly to price of honor.

Does anyone know what this is?

Also I have seen another thread about a similar Bavarian infantry sword, except mine has engraving on the handle as well as some around "en truest est" on the blade. Any info is appreciated.

Is there a sub forum for medals that would get more attention to the medal itself?

Nice looking aluminum 1st model Luftwaffe dagger. Maybe post pics of the medal in the Imperial Militaria forum, but whatever you do don't remove the medal from the dagger's chain. It may very well be a wartime addition.
