    Teno hewer for review

I need some help with this Teno Hewer, I have been offered this, and I cannot download the pictures that I have been sent, so here are some pics that I took of the pictures, it's all I can post until I can figure it out. It appears original including the hanger. Please comment on originality, and condition, and if possible what a fair price would be. There aren't many of these out there for sale to compare to. Thanks for any help with this.

The number on the hewer matches the scabbard throat.

Steve - the Hewer/hanger look all original althought it does have some issues with age - As to price take a look at some vendor sites i.e Wittmann etc - dealers are asking in the $4,000 range with hanger -

Although the photos are poor, I will say the hewer looks to be a period original example.

Depending on what type of collector condition threshold are acceptable for a 'keeper' for you, generally one with a sharpened or worn blade, or extensive plate peel, will not be considered 'a must have' example for many a collection.
However, that said, buying a collectable TeNo hewer with the frog at the right price is a no-brainer. As it can always be resold for a profit and that can be put toward a better conditioned and complete example.

The goal should always be a fine conditioned example with all accouterments.
Considering that if you can find a TeNo knot, factor in another 1K.
            JMO, for what it's worth.

Excuse me, taking a good look at the 2 screws of the handle makes me wonder, if they are both original, compare the backside too...
