Hi Sask,

I think this is an original piece, though someone has polished the hell out of the blade...removing most of the motto and the maker's mark! One expects to find RAD EM Hewers showing real-time usage since they were used during manual labor of all sorts and not just for uniform decoration, but whoever buffed this piece also removed most of its character, too. Sad to see, but a good piece.
