What´s an "Puma M36" ?

Do you mean an M33, made by Puma, together with a chained scabbard ?

We really dusted this thread off, bear in mind it's like 7 years old

Prior to this M33 Puma being found, I believe there was an M36 chained SS with a Puma marked blade that, if memory serves, was accepted as a period piece. It was thought of as a possible prototype or a "one off".

Since the 2004 original posting a number of Puma SS daggers, featuring a Laser etched logo & motto, have been seen & discussed here on WAF.

For those advanced SS collectors with keen eyes - does this particular ultra rare Puma SS still pass the criteria of an original?

Always lots to learn.

New laser Puma SS blade out of the Czech Republic. Obviously a modern item but the quality is getting better. Note the raised (albeit still incorrect) Hartkopf mark
