Thought I would post some PICS of a recent purchase off the e-stand and give a nice thank you to the seller and fairly new member here--JR, who is also a member of the "other" forum. Hopefully he starts putting his collection interests over here more!

Thanks JR for the great Eickhorn, it's my second dagger and second Eickhorn. Now you need to sell me that beautiful SMF Luft! For anyone wanting to do business with him, he's easy to work with, provides great PICS and extremely fast service and goes beyond that of most IMO. He also has some rather nice looking daggers in his collection.

The blade has some spotting as you will see in the close-ups, but overall is bright and has exceptional cross-graining remaining.

The grip is a nice pumpkin orange and actually is the same shade as my 2nd model Luft.

Nice detailing on all the components really makes this dagger a thing of beauty!

Here's a better shot at the cross-grain (without the window blinds messing it up). You can see the maker's stamp is nicely etched (35-41 logo) and some minor spotting here and there. All the fittings show nice details and a nice patina to the silver.

After missing out on a couple recent badges, this dagger has eased the pain quite nicely IMO. Enjoy!

Thank you Clenter! Yes, I think I did alright in this purchase. Not a dagger man per se and I do like my badges, but this could prove habit forming.

Thanks for the really nice comments guys, much appreciated! I am really happy with this dagger and need to get a case for it now and get off my butt and buy vol. 1 of Wittmann's books on Heer dagger collecting so I know what I'm looking at. I have his second volume already and probably should get vol. 3 while I'm at it, cause...well, you know.

Yes, JR was very decent to work with and he has some incredible looking SS daggers that will make your mouth and eyes water! For me, I had planned on adding a nice early SA dagger next when this popped on the e-stand and I just couldn't pass it up. Lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time. I really need to start saving now though or I will never make it to any SOS show! Of course, I could always dip into...
