    Army Dagger MWM Waffen...

I just got an Army officer dagger in the mail today. Stamped (Not etched, Stamped) into the blade is the makers mark wMw Waffen. Has anyone heard of this maker? I have looked on the internet at other daggers, but have not come across this same maker, and was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me about this maker? Its a great dagger, but unfourtunatly the grip is quite heavily damaged. There is a large chunk missing from it. Should I replace it, and if so where could I get an original replacment?
    Thanks for your help!

I believe WMW is Max Weyersberg,a rare maker of Heer daggers. And the mark should be stamped, not etched.

Rich is correct...the maker of your dagger is Max Weyersberg.

Tom Johnson usually has a few original grips in stock...try him at:

Rare maker and if early very desirable. Here's an army/rail if you want to compare construction. http://www.lakesidetrader.com/pics/RA-4d.jpg
