    Officer's Dagger v/s Dress Bayo

What type of dress side arm would a Hauptfeldwebel wear...

an officer's dagger or a dress bayonet. If it is a dress bayonet, would they wear an officer's portapee or NCO Toddel?

    Thanks

    Paul,

A senior Heer NCO would wear the short dress bayonet with the proper knot for an nco. This knot has a green cloth strap with silver side stripes and a silver and green corded ball and cap. Daggers were reserved for officer's but I'm not sure offhand whether officer canidates were similarly entitled to wear the dagger. I don't think so.

    Tony.

Thanks Tony. For some reason, I thought that a Feld and above could wear an officer's dagger with knot. Thank you for helping to clear the confussion for me.

Wait... I thought that the knot described above is only to be worn by Uffz-Ufel ranks. Is there another knot for the higher EM ranks

        Thanks

            Dagger Experts...

To put this topic to rest...

The only dagger worn by a Hauptfeldwebel is the dress bayonet with the forementioned green and silver troddle? If this is the final answer, then that is what I will use.

            Thank you
