An unmarked Voos perhaps? Looks like the grip wire came undone at some point or is this seen on some period dagger handles?

Yes, it does look like an unmarked Voos. Nice etch.

To think of it, don't they normally have white grips?

Voos marked pieces will usually be ivory. Sans the trademark usually has a trolon grip that has changed color from my experience
