Bayonet Identification Help Needed

This salty dog came back with a WWII US veteran. Only marking I could find was a "W". Can someone tell me what era and country this belongs to?

Hi,
I believe it's a German made Siamese 1888. Leftover bayonets from the contract were utilized by the Germans
in WWI since they mated with the Gew88. The "W" is supposed to be the indicator of German use. There's also a
Chinese variant that was used with the Hanyang rifle.
