good evening all. I have a transisition period Hitler Youth knife in pretty nice shpe. from what I have read the Eduard Gembruch factory mark M 7/8 is not common to a hithler youth knife, My question is one side (the back side grip has the checkerboard while the front with the inset insigna is a smooth bakalite. I does not appear to be take apart and canabilized withanother knife but factory like this another interesting thing to this knife is the sheath has the owners name carved into it for identification on the back of the sheath scraped into the paint finish is the name H. Herzberger in very neat german style penmenship If I was smarter I could download pics I could emai them to someone if you wish to see it. has anyone seen a smooth grip on one side factory made like this thank you in advance kyle Zinter
