            SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Thanks for showing that daggers didnt always conform to regulations. i had a red handel Army 20 years ago that the so called experts called a fake untill it was reported that 2 different firms produced a short supply untill the OKW deceided that orange, white, and yellow were official. skippy

              Hi Bob:

Any chance that grip is a Customs grip added to the dagger as a replacement? I can tell if it is blue or green, but do you think it left the factory that way? Could be a field upgrade, maybe a former Customs guy who went into the Army took a little past with him.

Looks like a late production one.

                , Hello

So far there isn't any good answer for this question.

What i have found out is that these are correct daggers and pre 1945. I do think it was used as you say, They watercustoms officer was transferred to the army.

Then i also have another one with a green leather grip. Both of these are late war made with pot metal parts.

Some out there will not subscribe to this but i know, TJ, TW, JB, accept these as period daggers.
