all the bags show up clean under black light. Im poking around through my dad's collection, a well known dagger and sword collector, Sterling "Chip" Gambino. He dealt mostly with German edged weapons, but would buy just about anything that stumbled into his shop in NY. I know he has had WW1, antique japanese and civil war swords...so i have no idea how to even narrow it down. I would assume the bags with the scalloped edges would be solingen in origen..but im not sure. Any ideas? no makers tags on any of them.

Your late father had many rare swords and daggers in his collection, many one off examples - It's great that you have taken an interest in this field too.
I'm sorry I can't be of assistance in your sword bag quest, you may want to try contacting Thomas Wittmann - who makes many mention of your dad's swords in his books. He may be able to help identify and authenticate.
Best,
Steve

Thats not a bad idea, i just feel like this is kinda small potatoes for Tom...then again my dad and him did have some heavy duty deals together...so i guess i wouldnt feel bad about squeezing some knowledge out of him.
Thanks

Mr Wittmann has always taken the time to share his knowledge - I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate to give you the right advice, small potatoes or not.
Best,
Steve
