this looks to be a good dagger but the problem i have is a nice dagger but awful looking scabbard. what are yalls opinions on it?

That Dick has been dropped but that blade's lettering is nice and crisp. A unique piece with the inscription on the handle.

There's nothing wrong with that scabbard. I just love those sloppy NSKK re-paints. I bet it even smells like history. The name and number make it a really great piece.

I dig it, as is. I'm sure you're tempted to possibly redo it but I think it's got a lot of character.

Very interesting dagger (personalised). Well, the balls are sometimes flattened in those early scabbards. Repaint looks to be period done and it's rather (SA) brown than black, so I guess the original owner has just put the new coat of paint when the original browning (or "ano-dizing") worn out and looked poor.
