That is the late war post-41 over shoulder TM. Not a common mark to find, even on Eickhorns. The mark looks stamped to me, not etched, as it should be.
I am not certain about the grip. First of all, the wire looks loose on it. Secondly, I have only seen white grips on Eickhorn Kriegs ... I have 6 in my collection, all with different TMs and all with white grips. But, on grip colour, I will defer judgment to those who are specialized Kriegs collectors.
The blade itself looks a little ratty... or is it just the pictures?

The grips on both this Eickhorn and the Weyersberg have the same characteristics, I'm not sure what to make of them. The grip wires on both are not standard, and both seem to have the same irregular winding. The Eickhorn is common, the Weyersberg more scarce, hence more desirable. The daggers look correct, just can't make sense of these grips???

Thanks John, Brennig and Red. Possibly the blade is a bit ratty John, and it seems to me the grips are coloured in some way as you suggest Brennig. Ihadn'nt noticed the non standard wires Red, and will see if I can post another pic of the grips if I have one, to see if it clarifies anything. I have been away for a couple of days and will try and post another pic tonight, if I have one.

I have enlarged this picture of thge handle of the Wyersburg Dagger in my other thread, which shows the same discolouration as this Eickhorn one. It can be seen that this colour is not evenly distributed across the entire handle, areas of white being visible, indicating that it could be nicotine as Brennig suggested or some other stain. I don't know if it will give you a better view of the wire Red.
I also attach a picture of the Eickhorn handle, which does not show these white areas, but which has no portpee which might have covered part of the handle as it does in the Wyersburg one. It gives a better view of the strange coiled wire.

If you take off the pommel (don't force it if it won't come off) and look at the top and bottom of the grip, you may see signs of whether this is nicotine stained or just a weird colour. Nicotine probably wouldn't penetrate under the pommel or around the crossguard.

Thanks John. I have not yet got the dagger in my possession. I went away for a couple of days after posting both daggers, and before I had the benefit of more than one reply. I had to make my mind up whilst away, whether to leave a commission bid on one or both of them. I decided to leave a bid on both and had the Eickhorn for a total of about £320 including premium, VAT and delivery costs. I did not get the Wyersburg as it went for about £380 including charges. I think the Wyersburg was probably the better buy, especially after looking at the crack and non standard wire wrap on the Eickhorn.
I will update this thread when I receive the piece.

Sorry to be so very late in updating the thread, but I'm afraid that I completely forgot about it. When I received the item, there was a large chip out of the handle. After discussing this with trhe auctioneer I was advised to seek compensation from the post office for the damage. They did provide compensation, but retained the item.
