The back of the blade is marked "C. Wulfert Berlin Hoflieferant".

Looks like an 1871 to me...

I saw one recently listed at £450 ($700) but it also had a knot and leather frog and was mint mint mint!! So im thinking $400-500 for this one?? Im not expert just what I saw - he could have over or under listed the price...

Nice dress SG71 piece, the frog is yugoslavian M1948 postwar frog.

Your private purchase S71 is missing the false spring in the grip and the frog stud is certainly not typical. Can we see a shot of the scabbard without the Yugoslav frog?
