HELP with Hartkopf marked HJ

Help HJ gurus! Trying to help a friend with his HJ here. The scabbard is an obvious fake,but how about the knife itself? Strange to me that this one has such a deep RZM mark and I have seen Hartkopf's that have the MM and RZM with NO motto! What do you guys think?? THANKS for help! Kevin.

A bad one imo has incorrect larger RZM proofmark.

Is the grip dented or something? (near the rasco and up by the top rivet) - Usually these grips chip, not dent - if that is a dent, I can't tell from these pictures.

Also thinking that RZM mark is off. Although I've seen other M7/40/37s and it looks similar - just not right IMO.
