Hi Tom, I am not sure of a value in the USA?

I used to own one of these myself. Condition was very good, and was close to mint, considering the date, like the one you illustrate. I traded mine away, as it was the last (together with a US 1918 pattern "Au Lion" made knuckle knife) of my US collection. Plus they are technically illegal in the UK as are all post 1900 dated knuckle knives. But you do see them for sale at shows. My trade was for a deact Radom P35 (P) which gave me a "value" on the knife of £325 or $595. BUT I suspect that these knives do not make that much money in the US?

Hope this is of some interest and maybe you will get a accurate value in $.

    Cheers, Ade.

      Hi,

Don't know to much about WWI American knives but I believe this a type of trench/knuckle knife. I recently saw one of these 1917's in Nevada, and if I recall correctly, he was asking around $350. Hope this is some help.

You can find these in the $175 to $250 range fairly regularly. There was one on
e-bay recently that went for $195.

IMO $350 is on the high end but that depends on condition and how bad you
        want it.

$350 is top dollar, I would pay that for a stone mint one right out of the box, if possible the box also!
