    How-to...?

    Sharpen a Knife? Yepp, I want to know all the tips/ advices that you probably can give me. I know the general thing, to grind it on a grind-stone, from rough to fine grind-stones. But I wonder if there are possibilities to make it more perfect? Any special technics?
    Please let me know.

      I guess for the purpose of the Forum I should ask,

      What kind of "knife" you are referring to?

      If you have a dress dagger, sword or bayonet, etc. I would advise against sharpening it as it will have a drastic effect on the value of the piece. (That said, if you own it you're certainly free to do with it what you please - it's just that I would hate to see you make a costly mistake!)

      If you are speaking of knives in general, (kitchen knives, etc.) the best method is to work the edge on a sharpening stone or a ceramic or metal sharpener sold for that purpose.

      Sorry, but I can't be of much help beyond that!

        It´s for General purpose of course
        I would never sharpen a dagger which has a big value.
        Also I cant, because I haven´t any with big value.
        A normal k98 bayonett would be very cool and useful, but so far I haven´t any.

          While I'm sure this isn't what you're looking for, when I need knives sharpened I take them to the nearest gun show where there's always guys that will install a razor edge for about two bucks each.
