    SS Dagger

I was recently shown this dagger and asked to help authenticate it. I know what it is but have no idea as to its authenticity or value. Any input from the members here will be appreciated.

For some reason beyond me the software keeps posting the same photos. I'll try again...

What's the deal with the grooves on the underside of the lower crossguard?

I have no idea. That's why I'm asking for opinions.

I'll probably go with this one as well. Too many things that just don't look "right."

It's one of those ones where you start thinking "well, this part is wrong, but maybe this other part could be right" and can fall into the trap of working up all sorts of complex explanations for what you see. Occam's Razor though says that the simplest explanation is probably the right one.

I'd like to see some more pics...there are a few things that look odd.....these chained SS's are some of the most faked TR items out there though.
