Engraved bayo with frog and knot.

I have this engraved dress bayonet with the inscription engraved in it with a blue/yellow/silver knot. Any opinions on the originality of the bayo inscription and what does the knot signify, in terms of the color??
    Thanx,
    Tim

PS-Sorry about the pictures. It's hard to get good shots of the fuller for me.

        Congrats, great bayo !

This etching is not very often seen by Klaas !

I´ve got a similar bayonet from a veteran as a present yrs. ago !

        P.S.:
I´m not sure, but the colours of the Troddel could mean: 17th Infantry-Regiment ?

That is hands down the nicest bayonet I have had the pleasure to see. Were these done at a unit level or perhaps individual level?

            Thanks,
            Joe

Private purchase, so probably individually done.

And thanks Bryant U....Had it for several years, was just wondering if it was real after all these yeats.

                  Tim,

Looks like a nice original, congrats. A very aesthetically pleasing pattern by Klaas too, the helmet & eagle motif by the ricasso is particularly beautiful.

                          Wow

Looks beautiful. These are indeed rarely seen and being in this condition only adds to the value. Congrats on a nice piece in your collection.
