My First Dagger Build- Help

Hi guys,

I have thought about it, and I am wondering the best way to start building a TR dagger. I think that an Heer would be the bet for me, and I was wondering where I can start getting parts! Is it a lot cheaper than buying the dagger in the long run?

Either way, this is not to sell, and I hope that you all can give me some good advice!

Hi I think it is probably cheaper to just buy a good one than to put one together. Prices are dopping on them. Best regards.

I'd just buy a dagger, cheaper in the long run and it will be correct. Just because you but all army parts doesn't mean they will all fit together, plus the finish most likely will not match. Just my thoughts.

Exactly, set of parts is not a cheaper option, but the main problem is you'll get a "Frankenstein" Different producers used different looking parts, so for example the Eickhorn blade will look extremely stupid with Alcoso "high lift" crossguard and late WKC pommel. If you're really into "D.I.Y." kind of things, buy T.Wittmann's book on Army daggers. You'll find there correct configurations for your future "projects"

Frankenstein is the best word for this, you can get a real one for not too much money.

As everyone else has said buy a complete dagger it's easier and I think cheaper. Dealers haven't lowered there prices but collectors have. You can get a decent unmarked dagger for around $400-450. You'd probably pay that in parts and then have to fit them together.
