    Please help!: bayonet identification

    Hello all,
I'm not a knife guy so I need some help. I found this old Simson&Co. SUHL bayonet in my friends attic. It has matching numbers "A 7064" Does anyone have any info on where its from, what era, value, etc. When I find something I like to know as much as I can about it. Please, Check the pics and let me know what you guys think. Thanks so much! ~Max

It looks like damaged spanish M1892/3 bayonet contracted by Simson&Co,Suhl.

As probably Spain ordered the rifles by Loewe or Mauser, the bayonets were contracted by Simson in Suhl, the piece have reworked grips as You could see the humped back of the tang, the blade have a long fuller, it was similar design as german SG71/84 only the barell ring was higher and smaller barell ring. The screws in grips are spanish so reworked in 20.century. As there is a A digit letter i assume the rifle were a early M1892/3 production.
