    Govt... Diplomatic scabbard opinions

Posted a early heer dagger earlier, noticed the scabbard was different... Gary pointed out it was a government scabbard. My next question is.... good one???
would there be any interest in just a scabbard and possible market value, of course if it turns out to be original.

    thanks

please make some better pics, where scabbard rings can be seen together on one pic and close ups each one, and pics from the scabbard throat. if its good, it has to be from an eickhorn, cause alcoso had two screws at upper throat.

Looks like solder splashes near that lower fitting, not a good sign, point's to a bit of an amateur bodge job.

Typically, yes, but maybe repaired possibly. The wear looks good compared to the dagger. I'm hoping someone with an Eickhorn diplo, govt. in hand can comment.
If anyone needs more detailed pics, or of anything particular, let me know

                  thanks

Could well be a repair badly done, I've never owned a GO so I can't comment on how the scabbard bands were originally fitted, Heers and 2nd lufts are merely interference fit, GO's look to me to be a similar assembly to navals which still leaves me in the dark, I would punt at them being soldered prior to finishing, at any rate this piece isn't correct.
