Farewell Gentlemen

As many of you know, Skipper and I are close friends. Recently he got into a squabble with management resulting in his removal. On those grounds, I've decided to step down as well. It has truly been a pleasure moderating the daggers forum as you guys are some of the best representatives the hobby has to offer. I'm certain you'll provide the same level of courtsey our replacements that Skipper and I have received these past six years. Good luck, and good collecting.

It's a very sad day for the blade forum. Very sad.

How is it that from a simple squabble a senior well respected member can just be removed like this? I thought there were warning levels before someone gets the boot. No?

And now Larry...the very fair minded and even keel moderator is leaving too...

Reminds me of another dagger forum that is now just a ghost of it's former self.
Sorry to see this happen here.

Hope there is a way to fix this after a cooling-off period. Good Luck Lar! We'll miss you!

Guys, I want to be clear that I'm leaving of my own accord with absolutely no animosity. Like most squabbles, this one has issues on both sides and management did what they thought best, ie, there's really nobody to blame. I really hope you guys get some fresh talent with "gung-ho" attitudes as I really believe this forum has the potential to become the premier on-line daggers venue. Thanks to everyone and don't forget to hunt us up at the MAX.

Five of the best guys in this forum have already left, now with you and Skip and who's tomorrow?
Best dagger venue on-line? Nah. Perhaps at one time it had the potential but
now who will be left? Newbie's and Yah Mein Fuhrer types?
Can't happen. There is not that type of old talent out there anymore.

The hobby is full of holes. Too much greed, too little ethics, too big of egos.

ANOTHER LOSS OF GREAT TALENT AND ANOTHER INABILITY TO REACH OUT AND STILL TROUBLED WATERS BY ADMINISTRATION. Why is it always some type of disappointing solution to a problem resulting in a loss for both sides that results achieve in online forums???
