    Rad Dagger Question

I just picked up a Rad dagger made by Ernst Pack & Sohn, but most Rad daggers I see on the Internet are made by Eickhorn and a number of other makers. Is Ernst Pack an uncommon name as far as Rad daggers are concerned? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Ernst Pack & Sohne Rad Dagger

        Hi,
I appreciate your responses. Here are a couple of photos of the Ernst Pack Rad dagger that I described. Sorry for the poor quality, but I received these photos from the seller. But you can get some idea. The scabbard is a bit salty and needs a few parts as well. But I believe this one could shape up, with a little care. It seems very few people are familiar with Ernst Packs Rad daggers.

                stingray69,
If his does not have a top stamp like your is it still good or it is a reproduction.
Every one of the RAD knives I ever saw had a double stamp on the blade.
                regards Rajko

                    Rad Dagger

                    Hi,
Thanks for bringing up the lack of Rad GES. GESCH Trident marking. Now I'm wondering about this daggers authenticity. Does anyone know if later Rad daggers were ever issued without the Rad trident? I appreciate your responses. Thanks for the photos, nice dagger.

Like I said all the ones that I saw (a few of them), had double stamp, but I am not going to say that with 100%, I could be wrong. So let see what other experts say.

                        Pack RAD Daggers

Pack did make RAD Daggers. The EM Hewer version is much more rare than the officer version by this maker. A near mint/mint condition EM is a rarity.
Some of the Solingen manufacturers did, from time to time, omit the RAD triangle proof, but the reason is unknown to me.

I used to have PUMA without triangle once.

                            Rad Dagger E Pack

Thank you all for your responses. I feel a bit more at ease hearing the last couple of comments. The dagger I describe is less than mint, the scabbard is minus a few parts, such as the lower fitting (I'm sure not an easy find) and the blade runner. But with this hobby, you never know what may turn up. To me, that is some of the fun.
