    Police Bayonet

About A year ago I purchased a police bayonet with its origional frog in great condition. The blad is perfect no scratches or dings has never been sharpened. The grips are as well perfect no chips or marks eagle is still in great condition. My question is what is the average price for a bayonet such as this?

Sorry no pictures camera has gone missing
    Thanks for all the help.

    Chief,

Here's a few questions that might affect value. Does it have the clamshell? Are the crossguard/scabbard fitting numbers matching? Is it the slotted variety? Is the scabbard leather brown or black? What is the blade length (13", 17" or different)? Who is the maker? Too many factors to give you an idea without a better explanation or pictures, sorry.

The Bayonet is made by Eickhorn Solingen it is all matching with black scaberd and a 17 inch blade and No it does not have the clam shell.

A 17" blade indicates that for some reason it was not cut down to 13" when these Weimar bayonets were recondititioned although the clamshell was removed. This helps value IMHO as most of these police pieces had the blades cut down.

Is there a metallic ring around the blade under the crossguard? Is the Eickhorn mark is the squirrel double oval? You said it's all matching, does this mean the letters/numbers match each other? If so, what are they?
