TR Hunting Association Dagger/Info...

Hi Guys,

I know little to zero regarding dagger's and would like some opinions and general info if possible...

This belongs to a friend of mine, we know its a Hunting Association Dagger...

1/What is a rough estimate on year of production ??

2/ There is a maker mark stamp on blade WKC...What maker is that ??

3/ Where can i find a scarrab to match this piece, also what do they look like i have no idea ??

It's difficult to tell you much without there being a scabbard, the shape of the scabbard fittings can tell us a lot as to the original purpose of the piece, most of these types were for veterans or the shooting association, yours dates from the late Weimar period so probably 1927-1931. WKC stands for Weyersberg Kirschbaum and Co/Cie, value without the scabbard would be around $100 if your lucky. Selling without a scabbard will be very difficult as will finding a scabbard.
It is not a hunting dagger.

Thank you for your help and info on this dagger Gary.

If i were to look for a scabbard somewhere, were would i start ?? or were could i direct my friend as he owns the piece and would like to keep it, but is chasing a scabbard for it, also which one would match this dagger ??

Anyone have a pic so we know what to look for ??
