    SS dagger

I guess it's time for school again, is the maker mark OK?

I thought, the right knee should have a "V"
the hammer should be square and filled
the & in E.P.& S. should be smaller than the letters....

Did I hear the teacher wrong and take bad notes in class that day?

Why all the abrasive horizontal scratches to the top crossguard on what normally would be smooth nickel fittings ? Steelwool cleaning ?

It's the low-profile, aerodynamic pommel..less drag when running for waf-ss troopers...I think...then again, probably not.

Note how distressed the metal is on the hanger but the leather is minty.

Wow! I guess these are getting scary, I see the differences now. Superficially, WOW! We need to be really careful these days!

Bob, I'm not ready to give up on this dagger yet........... but there definitely is some challenges as noted by several of the members.

                            Thanks JR!
There are many parts of the dagger I like and some now as pointed out I do not. I have to pull out some more vertical hangers but I do notice on the one buy me the rivets are different. I always feel better with a “hands on” vs. pictures.
                            Talk soon,

This is the motto etch on a Pack M33 SS. Perhaps one of the collectors could put my photo together with the one that started this topic, to see how they stack up.

The trademark is quite different, but then again we know that this firm used several on at least their SA pieces.
