      There is a theory I'm working on regarding early Weyersberg's. Don't want to get into the whole thing here but there is a chance that the blade tang and or
      the pommel maybe stamped with that number.

      But don't take it apart just to satisfy my curiosity.

        Nice looking early silver-nickel 1st Luft. Appears to be complete with the heavy brass sun disc inserts.

        I can only echo the sentiments of my collecting brethren. Disassembly, and cleaning can damage a piece. I agree fully with Bill. Leave her in her current condition. I don't see any pressing issue which would require disassembly, etc.
