    K98 Frog RZM Marked?

I found a 1938 J. Sch. K98 bayonet with a strange looking frog last week. It is brown with a buckle across the middle. On the back the frog has a stamped triangle and a stamped oval. Inside the stamped triangle, I think it says "3V 55" and beneath that "RZM" and then some other numbers. Did they make RZM marked frogs? Is a frog with a buckle even German?

I can't post pictures. My email is pavement74@yahoo.com

Without pictures it's very much a guessing game of what you have. But buckles were not a feature of WW II era German bayonet frogs. FP
