This is the Buchel pictured in TW's army book on page 102. It's a really nice dagger despite the missing chip. Buchel Armies are not rare and I always wondered why Tom choose this one.

Same maker. This is not mine dagger.

Phil,
I just checked Chip's site, you're right, both a Heer & Luft2 by Buchel. I remember seeing a Buchel Luft2 a few years ago & it was called "ultra rare". I've seen a couple of them since then but still a tough to find mark on a Luft. I did own a Buchel Heer a number of years ago but flipped it to buy something else which the memory of eludes me now. From memory it was quite well made.
I once owned a Heer dagger by Friedrichswerk, sold it too but that was when I was saving for an honor ring. I've never seen another & know Tom W. didn't have one in his Heer book. I sent it to Tom for pics in some upcoming addendum he was working on. Probably should have kept it!Attached Files
