after the purge and the numbers were applied to the dagger, was it the service number or their party number?

Numbers were ordered to be applied to the SS Ehrendolch (Röhm Honor Dagger) before the purge in April 1934. The numbers were to be the unique SS number given to the Allgemeine-SS recipient. After the purge, SS numbers were still applied to SS Honor daggers though they were instructed to remove the Röhm inscription on 4 July 1934. Some SS-Allgemeine members placed their SS numbers on their service daggers as well though there was no specific order instructing them to do so.

but i read, that there were just on approx. 50% of the Rohm daggers the number. For example me, i have one without number.

Hi Gents:
There is no official record of how many of the SS-Enrendolch were actually numbered. By observation of these existing "Röhm" daggers, it appears that about 30-40% bear the owner's SS membership number. Evidently a majority of recipients were not always good at following directions. By the way, there are currently only 14 unground SS Röhm's whose original owners can be identified so far.
