It's supposed to be a Cossack Shashka.

Heh,a goofy fantasy sword! It's a poor Paki copy of a pre war Don Cossack that the pro German forces supossedly would have used to fight the Reds with.$39.95 from IMA International IIRC. Like those post war WaA'd Star pistols that our good buddies at Sarco polluted the field with about the same time....

While it's not much better than the original versions of these fakes, this example does have one other thing going for it besides the story of "some Russian lady".

This one has the extra fancy, super-duper, "artificial wear and aging" package added. Only surpassed by the extra, extra, super-duper, "artificial wear and aging" package. Where it is left in a barnyard somewhere for not less than six weeks.

My hope is that a lesson is learned to not "buy the story". That he did not pay much for the sword. And that as a new member of the collecting fraternity. He does not become too discouraged by the dishonest dealers and collectors who are in the hobby for primarily their own financial gain. FP

Same lady, and son tried to scam me on a similar sword. As soon as i mentioned it was not a wartime piece, they got mad, and said disparaging remarks about my mother, and beat it. Like i really missed out on some rare item. This guy, answer ads also on the internet for people looking for third reich stuff. Just another scammer, sorry you got taken. Beware .
