    Boxed This Army Dagger

I don't think i posted this Heer dagger after I boxed it.

I bought it a month or 2 ago from a peer at GDC who dug it up from a vet in the mid-west. It's an ASSO. Since my dagger stands are all full, and the section of a display case which houses only daggers is also full, I had to become creative deciding to utilize some of the open wall space in the bunker.

Anyway, bought this box on sale at Michaels arts and crafts for around $12 I think. Also bought some absorbant foam for another $8 or so. Sized the foam, cut it, placed the dagger in the box, inserted the foam, and applied the backing, and walah! Instant dagger display. I had this spare IAB in OK conditoin laying around. I actually almost gave it away to another collector recently. Decided to throw it in for good measure.
I like the color contrast between the black background and the white grip on the army.

    Good collecting,

Hope you are not abandoning sword collecting ...

      Hello Ibrahim-
      Good to hear from you.

I'm still sticking to swords, but periodically I'll pick up the run of the mill dagger for the heck of it. When the price is right, i'll grab just about anything.

Swords are still my "meat and potatoes". I just finished a "Roon" style collection featuring each dovehead saber with engraved oak sprigs and acorns from each manufacturer. Slow but steady with regards to the swords.

      Good collecting fellas,
      Tom
