Going out on limb on this one, since I have never seen or held an M7/5 (Krebs) SS dagger. It's not even listed in Wittmann's SS book, but does exist.

I like it. Nice blade and has a painted scabbard and nickel fittings, so my guess dates from the early transitional period.

I like the hanger too. I can see a 1934 date.

I sure do not like that district marked crossguard. These are typically not correct for a RZM dagger. A 1934 hanger IMHO is very early for this dagger.

Hi - As I stated, I have not seen or held a real M7/5 can you show me a link to use to compare?

The SS roundel has vertegris on the lower portion, so it is difficult to say for me.

Look at the roundels edges in the SS rune. The right have round corners in the midle section.
My feelings of this blade ..tell me i dont like the dagger.

That is my 1`st opinions and that if enough for me

I have to disagree with Paul on the district stamp. The earliest RZM 120/34 daggers are stamped with district I... never saw one that wasn't. There is no date on the blade so it could well be as early as 1934 which would date the hanger at the same time. This RZM marking is similar to the M7/29 daggers in that there is no "SS" in the code. I have no problem with the roundel. There is great variation in these. In my opinion this could be an original dagger, but it would be nice to see the internal markings. (I'm not asking to have it broken down). More food for thought... the fakers try to copy daggers that are common for the period like Hammesfahr, Herder etc., and also some fairly common RZM daggers like the (upside down) 188/35. Why would someone fake an RZM code that no one has seen before? An unknown early maker perhaps... but not an RZM IMO.

I see nothing wrong with the blade or the grip eagle or the roundel. I have 2 of these SS rzm M 7/5 daggers both from different sources. One is from Houston Coates and the other a yard sale! The eagles and rondels are identical to Turbopanzers. One of mine has a vertical hanger the other is a strap type. The one with the vertical hanger is transitional the other all plated fittings. I would say anything is possible. Weitze sold one on his site 3 or so years ago. I also saw one at the last SOS show without scabbard and the eagle and roundel are identical.
