Thanks for this good thread. I have photos of a flyer's knife that I had posted some time ago and am curious if this is the early Weyersberg with the non-rostfrei blade. Hi,
I want to come back on the first posted gravity knife with the 'trumpet' logo. I'm no expert when it comes to gravity knives but has any of you see the catalogs a posted on the WWMF ? Weyersberg still produced these knives years after the war with that nice trumpet on it!! The same thing with a perfect copy of the HJ knife bit without the insignia. I don't want to say everything is fake but I would keep my eyes open for every non conform wartime model of this equipment tool.

Just took a very good second look to the knife in my catalog. There are some differences with the knife posted on top of this thread. The knife in the post war catalog is described as "Fallmesser, Holzgriff, Metalbeschläge und Ahle brüniert. It has an arrow on the ricasso, A hoizontal placed "trumpet" logo and the manufactures name "Gebr. Weyersberg Solingen Germany" The last word of course is an easy give away for post war pieces.
