Yep, your instincts are right, it's a Spanish repro, don't even think about it.

These are really not that bad looking. The Spaniards actually made some decent looking repros.

That being said, if it came cheap, it's a fine filler piece till you can add a legitimate '33. If you spent full retail SS dagger price, return it for a refund.

I've handled quite a few of the Spanish reproduction pieces. They are famous for the 1st aned 2nd pattern Holler Lufts. The MM is always terrible, but the daggers themself are decent. Certainly enough to fool an uninitiated newer collector. Interestingly, there is a market for repros. Some people are collecting early repro examples hence increasing thier overall value.

Thanks for all the help guys.I purchased it about 4 years ago of ebay and didnt pay much thankfully so i am not out much.It never felt right and has been in a box in my loft and i came across it today so i took a few pics and asked the members for their opinions.Once again thanks to all.
