    how know this mark on the blade of SA dagger
    i have never see it
    it's J.P.SAUER & SOHN SUHL and GEGR 1751

        Yes, they certainly made firearms. I'm pretty sure that was their main occupation. I know a gun collector that pours over WWII handguns and rifles looking for only Sauer made pieces.

          Perhaps because they were a gunmaker with access to fine wood, they often display some really outstanding grips on their daggers.

            Not sure where they fall on the rarity scale, but Sauer SA Daggers are very desirable due to - as noted by Larry - the quality off the wood grips.

              They are rated a 3 on McSarr. That's an interesting observation about the wood, makes sense they would have access to high quality wood.
