Wehrmacht K98 bayonet with frog

Hello all.

i got this bayonet today from a house cleaning

a k98 bayonet with frog.
the scabbard is marked with 9929 g and crs/40
the bayonet is marked with 43asw and 8376,so its not a identical set.
its a unmarked frog and there,s a nail in the leather,i dont know why
but i will keep it that way.and i,m not going to clean this bayonet.
i like it this way and the fact that i find this bayonet realize me again there is more out there in old houses,farms etc.

The frog appears to be for a WW1 made S98/05 bayonet and I guess the frog was made in or around WW2. S98/05´s were issued during WW2 for German Navy issue, but I expect others will chime in to confirm or correct me. I would remove the nail from the frog, by the way.

Kilian is right on this a nice SG98/05 frog, the bayo was probably found missmatched, any letters under serial number on bayonet? the blade was probably sharpened and the tip broken? the pommel looks like hammered, the securing press button is probably not movable. best regards,Andy
PS there is not many too clean, only slight oiling , but the scabbard has good patina same like bayonet

there is no letter under the serial number on the bayonet.
no traces that the tip is broken.and the securing press in not movable.
nice to know what type frog this is.
